Hi, I was just reading the above. I do my own freelance lessons using someone elses horses. I find that is the best way to make the most money, but I don't really learn much and it can be a bit lonely as I don't have anyone else to throw off ideas, experiences in teaching.

I also teach at a stable. Both of these are part-time. The stable is good because I learn a lot, ( I already have 20yrs licensed instructor experience), but still learn quite a bit from this stable. Although, for example, today I worked from 9:30 to 3:30, did only three lessons as two didn't show up. So, I probably made about, well 40% of 3x$45.00 a lesson. Not much! But, I was able to ride for about 40 minutes on a nice horse and picked up some more tips on teaching.

Tomorrow I will do my own lessons as an instructor, do all the work, but walk out of there with over $200.00 as I get 60% teaching there and can do whatever I want. So, they both have great advantages. But its nice to mix it up.

Hope this helps.
