Horse Business Safety Evaluations

Have you incurred an uncomfortable number of accidents at your barn? Are you concerned about your safety protocol? Horse business consulting can include a full safety evaluation of your facility and suggestions for improvements.

At Riding Instructor University, safety is the number one priority. Accidents, injuries and other pitfalls of the horse business can, in the main, be avoided through diligent planning and meticulous oversight.

My 120-point safety evaluation addresses every facet of safety in the horse business, including safety of the:

  • Arena(s)
  • Barn(s)
  • Paddocks/pastures
  • Tack room
  • Feed room
  • Wash stalls/stocks
  • Arena equipment (fences, barrels, poles, etc.)
  • Parking area(s)
  • Trails
  • And much more!

The purpose of the safety evaluation is to identify points of weakness. Not only will this help prevent accidents, but it can also reduce your insurance premiums and eliminate the possibility of a lawsuit. In our litigious society, you can never be too careful.

The safety evaluation is conducted at your facility, and includes three hours of consultation following the rigorous evaluation. Afterward, we will have another one-hour telephone consultation to follow up on changes and to answer any additional questions.

Cost

The safety evaluation costs $800 plus travel expenses. Included are your four total hours of consultation as well as e-mail follow-up.
